Glasgow 2014: Commonwealth Games in pictures

The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow are done and dusted. For 11 days athletes in the city produced magical sporting memories. There were highs, lows and the moments that anyone who watched the Games will never forget. Here are is a selection of key moments from Glasgow 2014.

The crowd soaks up the atmosphere in the Live Zone at Glasgow Green during the build-up to the opening ceremony. Three other cultural hubs in Merchant City, Kelvingrove Bandstand and BBC at the quay put on free entertainment each day of the Games.

Libby Clegg and guide runner Mikail Huggins went on to win gold in the women's Para-sport 100m T12 on day five. Glasgow 2014 had the biggest number of Para-sports medals in Commonwealth Games history with 22 medal events.
