'Loony Dookers' take the plunge

About 500 people have plunged into the Firth of Forth for the New Year's Day Loony Dook.
Many "dookers" wore fancy dress as they went into the water at South Queensferry, at the end of Edinburgh's Hogmanay festivities.
Organisers said the three days of events were a huge success, boosting the local and national economy.
The New Year's Dook in St Andrews was said to have had a record attendance despite not having the best weather.
