Election 2015: Sturgeon: make 'Scotland's voice heard'

The New Year brought the start of campaigning for the 2015 general election in May.

BBC Good Morning Scotland is speaking to the leaders of the political parties in Scotland in a series of interviews.

Nicola Sturgeon, leader of the SNP, dismissed claims that a vote for her party would help either Labour or the Conservatives in the election.

The first minister told the programme: "Voting SNP helps Scotland because it helps make sure Scotland's voice is heard, Scotland's interests are protected and we get those extra powers for our Parliament that were promised during the referendum."
