Scotland's coldest temperature so far this winter has been recorded in the Highlands.
Overnight temperatures dropped to -8.7C at Dalwhinnie.
The country woke up to freezing fog, snow, rain and ice, with the Met Office urging drivers to take extra care on the roads.
A yellow be aware warning, external is in place for the Highlands and parts of Grampian, Strathclyde, Central, Tayside and Fife for Sunday into Monday.
BBC Scotland weather presenter Judith Ralston said: "On Sunday evening, rain will turn to sleet and snow as it moves in across central Scotland, the south highlands, Angus and Grampian.
"The snow will be will be prolonged north of the central belt leading to significant accumulations over high ground."
On Saturday, drivers across much of the country were warned about rain, snow and ice with Traffic Scotland urging drivers to look out for icy stretches on untreated roads.
Scottish Borders Council warned drivers to take extra care due to the high risk of snow and localised flooding caused by heavy rain which could lead to icy roads.
On Friday snow and freezing temperatures affected travel in some parts of Scotland, including on the A82 at Altnafeadh and the A9 at Drumochter.
