Ian Murray MP calls on party to 'seize mantle of federalism'

The Scottish Labour Party conference has opened in Perth with calls for a federal UK.

Labour MP Ian Murray told delegates it was time for a new Act of Union to refresh democracy and society.

Mr Murray called it a historic moment: "Labour, the party of devolution, is now ready to seize the mantle of the party of federalism."
