Scotland must tackle 'problem with hate speech'
The SNP’s Alyn Smith says Scotland needs to tackle its “problem with hate speech”.
The Stirling MP said concerns around police powers in the Scottish government's Hate Crime Bill had been “massively overstated”.
He told BBC Debate Night that people have a right to free speech, but “do not have a right to hate speech”.
He called on parties to work together at Holyrood on the new legislation.
