Retailers aiming to reduce plastic on Scotland's isles
Outlets on 12 Scottish islands are preparing to offer shoppers a more sustainable retail experience.
The scheme aims to reduce the amount of single-use plastic being transported to and from the islands.
Refillable and reusable containers will be introduced for goods such as milk, dried foods and toiletries.
Organisers say it will be beneficial for the economy and the environment.
