Scottish drug deaths: 'We need more drug users in treatment'

The Scottish drug policy minister says the level of deaths in Scotland is a "national disgrace" and has pledged to get more people into treatment.

More than 1,300 people died of drug misuse last year, with the country seeing a record number of deaths for the seventh year in a row.

Reacting to the figures, Angela Constance said the Scottish government was making a long-term financial commitment to reduce drug deaths and improve services.
