Police have appealed for information about a fire at a derelict building in the west end of Dundee.

Emergency services were called to the building in Douglas Street at about 15:20 on Monday.

Two aerial appliances were used in the operation, with adjoining streets cordoned off.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said four appliances and a height vehicle attended the scene, and crews remained in attendance.

The fire is being treated as unexplained.

Det Sgt Sean McCabe said: "We are working to establish the full circumstances of this fire and would urge anyone with information which could help to come forward, external."

Police have also appealed for CCTV or dashcam footage.
