The first named storm of the new season swept across Scotland from Wednesday into Thursday.

Storm Agnes closed some roads and brought down trees as it made its way from west to east.

No major damage or disruption appears to have been caused despite the heavy rain and strong winds.

BBC Weather Watchers and BBC news website readers captured images of its impact as it tracked across the country.
