Resident witnessed 'brutal' dog attack from kitchen window
Hamilton resident Kevin Pace has described a dog attack on two men that he witnessed from his kitchen window.
Police were called to the Tinto View area of Hamilton at about 17:00 on Tuesday to deal with a "dangerously out-of-control" animal.
Two men were attacked in the incident involving a "large bulldog-type dog", but it is not yet known if it was an XL Bully.
Mr Pace told BBC Scotland: "There was a commotion outside - the dog was barking and growling and the two guys were screaming."
Police said the dog had tried to attack an officer and had been shot dead by armed police.
