'Decent people make mistakes' - Yousaf backs Matheson
The first minister has backed Michael Matheson staying on as an MSP after a parliamentary investigation found that the former health secretary had broken the code of conduct in relation to the use of his parliamentary iPad.
Humza Yousaf told BBC Scotland's The Sunday Show that "decent people can make mistakes" and that Mr Matheson had paid a price by stepping down from government.
Mr Yousaf said it was right for Mr Matheson to initially stay on as health secretary while being investigated, but he added that it had been appropriate for Mr Matheson to leave government when it became clear the investigation would take up "significant time".
The Scottish Conservatives have called for Mr Matheson to step down from Holyrood.
