Driver killed after HGV blown over in storms near Bathgate is named

A lorry driver who died after his HGV was blown on top of two cars in West Lothian has been named.

Robert Dellow, 54, from Lowestoft in Suffolk, died at the scene on the A801, one mile north of the Boghead Roundabout in Bathgate on Thursday.

Mr Dellow was travelling at 08:10 when his HGV overturned.

Four other motorists suffered minor injuries and were taken to St John's Hospital for treatment. The road was closed for about eight hours.

Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses.
