Historical abuse investigated at Fettes College in Edinburgh

Police Scotland are investigating reports of historical abuse at Fettes College in Edinburgh.

The fee-paying school is one of the most exclusive in Scotland with former pupils including Tony Blair and Sir David Murray.

A police spokesman said the circumstances would be reported to the Crown Office.

A spokeswoman for Fettes College said it had co-operated fully with police inquiries.

"Police Scotland have carried out investigations into allegations of non-recent abuse," she said.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that an investigation has been carried out into reports of non-recent abuse at Fettes College and it is the intention to report the circumstances to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service."
