Two men who died when a car crashed in West Lothian early on Saturday have been named by police.

Troi Lawton, 23 and 19-year-old Connor Elgey, both from Bathgate, were passengers in the car which left the A706 at Whitburn.

Two other men, aged 52 and 28 who were also passengers in the Subaru Impreza remain in a critical condition at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

In a statement Connor Elgey's family said: "We are devastated by the tragic loss of Connor. His loss will be sorely felt by many."

Troi Lawton's family said: "We are all devastated and still in shock, we would not wish this upon anyone never mind our broken-hearted family."
