Man in hospital after explosion at Whitburn house

A man has been taken to hospital following an explosion at a house in West Lothian.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said a number of residents in Dixon Road, Whitburn, raised the alarm at about 09:30 after hearing a bang.
Police Scotland said the condition of the man involved in the explosion, which caused a fire, is unknown.
A neighbouring property has also been evacuated while investigations into the incident continue.
Emergency services are being assisted at the scene by a utility company.
The SFRS said three fire engines and a heavy rescue unit responded to the incident and put out the blaze.
A police spokesman said: "The male householder has been taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he is being treated by medical staff."
