Bradley Welsh was fatally shot at his flat in the west end of Edinburgh
A man accused of murdering a T2 Trainspotting actor told a court he had never seen a gun before the murder trial began.
Bradley Welsh was fatally shot outside his flat in Edinburgh on 17 April 2019.
Sean Orman, 30, denies the murder of Mr Welsh and the attempted murder of David McMillan in March 2019.
Giving evidence at the High Court in Edinburgh, he said he was riding his bike in Kirknewton, West Lothian, at the time of the attack on Mr Welsh.
Earlier the Crown dropped 13 charges against Mr Orman, including assault, drug and firearms offences.
Mr Orman said he was involved in moving stolen cars around Edinburgh at the time Mr Welsh died.
He said that in the days leading up to Mr Welsh being shot, he was driving a Ford Kuga around the Scottish capital and once drove past the actor's home in Chester Street.
But Mr Orman said he was not involved in any plot to kill Mr Welsh.

The trial heard that Mr Orman became aware of a shotgun being linked to him and the killing in September 2020.
Giving evidence, Mr Orman said: "I have never seen it in my life."
"I never personally seen a gun until in this courtroom," he added.
Defence counsel Ian Duguid QC said: "On April 17 2019 had you been on Chester Street in a Ford Kuga and shot and murdered Bradley Welsh?
Mr Orman replied: "No."
The court was told Mr Orman had been in a vehicle matching that description earlier that day and was then told to collect a car from the Kirknewton area of West Lothian.
'Dummy run'
The court heard he cycled from his mother's home to the location during Channel 4 News but there was nothing for him to collect.
He said: "I remember I wasn't happy that night, I had been left in Kirknewton.
"I wouldn't get paid and I had been sent on a dummy run."
Mr Orman also told the court he had not heard of Mr McMillan until the trial got under way.
The 30-year-old denied being at a property in Pitcairn Grove, Edinburgh, on 13 March 2019 when the attempted murder was said to have taken place. He said he could not recall where he was.
Mr Orman said: "I can't remember, I have no reason to remember."
He claimed to have got involved with being paid to move stolen cars by a man he had met in prison, known as Omar, after his release in February 2019.
Mr Orman had received a five-year jail term for assault and robbery at a bookmakers, the court has heard.
The trial continues.
