Man charged over death of pedestrian hit by bus in Edinburgh

A man has been charged in connection with the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a bus in Edinburgh city centre earlier this year.

Allan Moir, 79, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on Haymarket Terrace, near Clifton Terrace, on 4 February.

Police Scotland said a 34-year-old man had now been charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear in court at a later date.
