Biker, 61, dies in crash with car in West Lothian

A 61-year-old motorcyclist has died in a crash with a car in West Lothian.

The incident, involving a Honda CB1000 bike and a Hyundai i30 car happened on the A71 between Wilkieston and East Calder at about 14:40 on Tuesday.

The man died at the scene while the driver of the car was not injured.

Police closed the road for several hours after the crash for collision investigations to take place. Officers appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
