Edinburgh City Chambers has been closed following a fire, the local authority has confirmed.
Emergency crews were called to reports of a fire in the server room of the building, which is the city council meeting place.
The site, on the Royal Mile, will be shut until at least Wednesday due to an electrical fault.
Registrars, a customer hub, Mary King's Close and Visit Scotland's office were also closed as a result of the blaze.
There were no injuries.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the alarm was raised at 10:50.
A spokesperson said four appliances were sent to the city chambers and crews remained on the scene until 13:20.
The chambers also contain council offices and are used for weddings, public visits and conferences.
