Man, 81, dies after fall from Edinburgh Airport lift

An 81-year-old man has died after falling from an assistance lift at Edinburgh Airport.
As first reported in the Daily Record, external, the man had been getting support to exit a plane on 28 November when he fell 6ft (1.8m) onto the tarmac below.
He was treated in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary but died on 7 December.
The Health and Safety Executive said it was investigating while Police Scotland said there were no suspicious circumstances.
A spokesperson for Edinburgh Airport said: "We are aware of the death of an 81 year old man following a fall at Edinburgh Airport. We offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.
"At this time we are cooperating fully with regulatory authorities in their investigations."
