Police in Edinburgh have seized a "beer bike" over road safety concerns.

Officers stopped the pedal-powered bar on Leith Walk at about 11:20 on Saturday.

The vehicles, which allow revellers to sightsee while enjoying an alcoholic beverage, are popular in several European cities.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said the vehicle had been stopped due to road traffic offences but inquiries are ongoing.
