Plans drawn up for £85m Wildside eco project

Plans have been drawn up for an £85m eco project which developers have said will create jobs and boost tourism.
The public is being consulted on the Wildside development which would have three themed areas: polar, temperate and tropical.
The developers, who will be submitting detailed plans in the summer, have said their preferred site is on the Cuningar Loop in South Lanarkshire.
As well as a conservation area, there would also be restaurants and a hotel.
The proposed site has been derelict for 40 years and is directly opposite the Glasgow Commonwealth Village.
Share vision
The aim is for the development to open shortly after the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Wildside World Ltd is now canvassing opinions from local people.
Two drop-in sessions will be held this week for people to learn more and give their opinions.
Steve Minion, director of Wildside World Ltd, said: "The consultation events are an opportunity for us to share our vision with the local people and unveil some of the images of what Wildside will be like, and what it will bring to the region.
"We hope to engage with people at this early stage so that we have the opportunity to invite them to join in our consultation exercise and to update them in the future on our activities."
The drop-in sessions are being held in Rutherglen town hall between 17:00 and 21:00 on Monday and from 14:00 to 18:00 on Tuesday.
