Members of staff and specialist removers continued the retrieval of student art work from the Glasgow School of Art's Charles Rennie Mackintosh building.

The school will reopen for students on Friday.

Firefighters managed to save much of the building's contents from Friday's fire including archives and collections which needed immediate conservation.

Boxes of archive collections were stacked up ready to be removed from the Charles Rennie Mackintosh building after the huge fire.

A spokesperson for the school confirmed that fire crews were able to save some student's degree show work.
