Police have removed a swan from the M74 in Glasgow after the bird wandered onto the southbound carriageway.
Motorists had to slow down and avoid the swan as they approached J1A, near Polmadie Road, shortly before 10:00.
All three lanes were restricted for about 15 minutes while police officers captured the bird.
Pictures from Traffic Scotland showed the officers placing the swan in the boot of their patrol car. The bird's condition is not known.
