Councillor David Fagan charged over child images

A North Lanarkshire councillor is understood to have been charged over indecent images of children.
Scottish Labour has formally suspended councillor David Fagan, who represents the Airdrie South ward. He is due to appear in court this week.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 52-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday 7 September 2016.
"He was released on an undertaking to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Thursday 6 October 2016."
