A manufacturing facility based in Cathcart, Glasgow, has released photos to celebrate 130 years of continuous operation at the site.

The facility's origins date to 1871, when two brothers, George and James Weir, started the pump manufacturing operation as part of G&J Weir.

Soon afterwards, they opened the current site at Cathcart in 1886.

Scottish entrepreneur Jim McColl bought Weir Pumps in 2007 and along with Union Pumps, he formed ClydeUnion Pumps group

The US engineering company SPX Flow bought ClydeUnion Pumps group in December 2011.

SPX flow said it was one of the longest running facilities of its type in the UK.
