A man has appeared in court accused of assaulting a baby girl who was treated in hospital for serious injuries.
The nine-month-old child was taken to a Glasgow hospital by ambulance following an alleged incident at a house in Clydebank on Saturday.
William Robertson, 20, of Clydebank, made no plea when he appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court accused of assault to severe injury and danger of life.
He was remanded in custody.
Paramedics took the child to hospital after being called to a home in Robert Burns Avenue at 03:49 on Saturday.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said they were alerted at 04:20 that morning, when the baby was admitted for treatment.
