Man arrested and charged after stabbing in Paisley

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in Paisley.

Officers were called to reports of a 50-year-old man being stabbed on Broomlands Street, Paisley at about 09:15 on Thursday.

Police Scotland previously said the 50-year-old man was taken to hospital with "life-threatening injuries".

The 25-year-old is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on 10 May.
