Man arrested and charged after East Kilbride death

A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged by detectives investigating the death of a man in South Lanarkshire.
Alexander Allan, 43, was found critically injured at a property in the Ivanhoe area of East Kilbride at about 19:00 on Tuesday.
Police Scotland said Mr Allan was treated at the scene by paramedics but died a short time later.
A spokesman said the man was arrested in connection with the death and inquiries were ongoing.
He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday,
