Detectives charge man over Renton flat fire death

Charles Wilson, 40 was found dead in his flat in Renton

Police investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered after a flat fire in West Dunbartonshire have arrested and charged a man.

Charles Wilson, 40, was found in the bedroom of his home in Tontine Park in the village of Renton last Saturday.

Emergency services attended and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police Scotland said a 42-year-old man had been charged in connection with the death. He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday
