An 84-year-old man has died in hospital after in a crash with a parked car in Glasgow.

Police Scotland said he appeared to lose control of his Peugeot 2008 and strike a parked Suzuki SX4 on Carfrae Street, Yorkhill, last Thursday.

Emergency services attended and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died on Saturday.

Sgt Ally Wright said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time."

Police Scotland said inquiries into the crash were ongoing an appealed for anyone with information to get in contact, external.
