Child seriously hurt after falling from window in Glasgow

Officers were seen examining the scene on Victoria Road on Saturday evening

A child has been seriously injured after falling from a window onto a balcony in the south side of Glasgow.

Police were called to the four-storey property on Victoria Road at about 15:10 on Saturday.

Officers were later seen examining the balcony on the first floor. The height of the fall is not clear.

The child was taken to Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Children with serious but not life-threatening injuries and was later released.

Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing.
