Dual carriageway on A9 at Crubenmore to be extended

A section of dual carriageway on the A9 in the Highlands will be extended at a cost of £10m.
International firm John Paul Construction has been appointed the contractor for the Transport Scotland-funded project at Crubenmore.
The dual carriageway south of Newtonmore in Glen Truim is to be extended by 1.9 miles (3.2km).
Construction work is expected to start in the autumn and should be completed in late summer 2011.
The A9 is being dualled from Perth to Inverness on a phased basis.
