Wintry weather has continued to affect travel across parts of Scotland with forecasts of further snow later.
Ferry services in the Western Isles and Argyll and Bute have been badly disrupted by high winds.
Police have also warned of snow and high winds affecting roads in Caithness and Sutherland and surface water on other routes in the Highlands.
Earlier, Northern Constabulary had warned of icy conditions on untreated roads on Orkney and Shetland.
The Met Office said gusts reaching 65-70mph were possible over the Southern Isles, Skye and Lochalsh.
It has also forecast high winds and snow to continue into the weekend.
