Public views to be sought on merging Caithness schools

Public views look set to be sought on plans to amalgamate schools in Caithness.
Highland Council has proposed merging Hillhead and North primary schools on the North Primary site.
It has also been suggested South and Pulteneytown primaries be merged on a new campus for three to 18-year-olds at the site of Wick High School.
Councillors meeting on Tuesday will be asked to agree that the plans be put out to consultation.
The proposals and the officers' recommendation have been set out in a report, external to next week's education, culture and sport committee.
