'Super fast' broadband for Nairn in the Highlands
- Published
BT has announced plans to provide "super fast" fibre broadband for Nairn from next year.
It said the seaside town would be the first community in the Highlands and Islands to see speeds raised from about 40Mbps to up to 80Mbps.
As part of a wider UK roll-out of the broadband, download speeds should also increase from up to 10Mbps to up to 20Mbps.
BT said it should be available to about 3,450 Nairn properties from March.
