New 20-turbine wind farm at Moy near Inverness approved

A developer has won its appeal against Highland Council's failure to give a decision on its plan for a wind farm at Moy, near Inverness.
In a newly published decision, external, a Scottish government-appointed reporter has allowed the appeal and granted full planning permission.
The go-ahead is subject to a number of planning conditions.
Developer Carbon Free Moy Limited has proposed constructing 20 turbines on the site.
It submitted the planning application with Highland Council in April 2011.
The company appealed to the Scottish government in November 2011 following the local authority's failure to reach a decision within the statutory time scale of four months.
Dominic Farrugia, director of Carbon Free, said the firm had spent two years designing a wind farm "appropriate to the location and the environment".
He added: "We will continue to engage with local community as we prepare for the construction phase."
