UBC staff to work on Beauly to Denny power line project

Thirty jobs have been saved at the civil engineering arm of collapsed construction company, UBC Group.
The UBCivils workers will build access roads and water crossings in the Highlands as part of the Beauly to Denny power line upgrade.
The work in the Glenmoriston and Fort Augustus area is worth £6m.
Almost 240 people were made redundant in the Highlands and Islands and the central belt after the UBC Group became insolvent earlier this month.
About 100 jobs were lost in Inverness, 90 in the Western Isles, 45 in Bathgate and five in Glasgow.
Earlier this week, it was announced that a subsidiary of the collapsed company had been sold to its former managers.
Administrators Zolfo Cooper said the move had saved 30 jobs at Inverness-based Wyvis Roofing.
A new company could also be formed to take forward two contracts awarded to UBC in the Western Isles.
