Scientists are helping to determine how best to dispose of a mystery blue slime found among goods delivered to an industrial estate at Inverness Airport.

The substance was in a sealed tin inside a container of supplies sent from India to building products firm Hambleside Danelaw.

Interface, a service that helps firms to get academic expertise, put the company in touch with the scientists.

A lab at Inverness College UHI is now analysing the slime.

Once it is known what the substance is made of, the Hambleside Danelaw will be able to dispose of it appropriately.
