Capercaillie are to appear at the Hebridean Celtic Festival as part of the Gaelic band's 30th anniversary celebrations.

The band formed in 1983, when the original members were still at Oban High School, and went on to have UK chart success.

Other acts confirmed for HebCelt include Van Morrison, Dougie MacLean and Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

The festival will be held in Stornoway from 17 to 20 July.
