Probe into 'unexplained' Wick death continues

Police are treating the death of a man whose body was found in the Wick river as unexplained.

The body of 30-year-old William McGough, from Wick, was found by a member of the public at about 06:30 am on Saturday the 23rd of March.

Police said they were trying to establish his final movements as they awaited the results of a post mortem.

They want to hear from anyone who was in the Victoria Lane area between 18:00 on Friday and 06:30 on Saturday.

Mr McGough is described as over 6ft tall and of slim build.

He was wearing a light coloured jacket, dark tracksuit bottoms and a dark baseball cap.
