A hillwalker's body has been found in the Scottish Highlands following a mountain rescue search.
James Jack, 57, was found on Saturday in the Streap area, near Fort William, in the West Highlands, which is still under heavy winter conditions.
It followed a search by the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team and an RAF rescue helicopter in the Glenfinnan area.
Northern Constabulary said Mr Jack, who was known as Jim, was from Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.
In a statement, his family said: "The family wish to thank both the Lochaber and RAF Mountain Rescue and emergency services for their efforts.
"We also are extremely grateful to Northern Constabulary for their help and support at this difficult time."
Walkers are warned that tackling the Streap mountain in the winter requires a lot of experience and skill.
