Line ups for three music festivals in Highlands announced

Eddi Reader is to play at amaSing in Strathpeffer

The line ups have been announced for three festivals taking place in the Highlands over the summer.

Matthew Herbert and Karine Polwart are among the acts at the fifth annual Insider Festival at Inshriach House, near Aviemore, on 21-23 June.

Singer Eddi Reader will headline amaSing, which is being held on 31 August and 1 September in Strathpeffer.

Capercaillie and Manran are to appear at Blas, a Gaelic festival held across the Highlands from 6-14 September.

Stealing Sheep, Sparrow and the Workshop, Siobhan Wilson and Stanley Odd are also to perform at the Insider Festival.

The amaSing music festival will be held at five venues in Strathpeffer.

And more than 100 events celebrating Gaelic language and culture will be held during Blas.
