Highland Council to recycle more plastic waste
- Published
Households in the Highlands will be encouraged to recycle more plastic waste from the end of this month.
Highland Council said food pots, tubs and trays - once they have been cleaned and dried - can be dumped in blue bins from 31 August.
Black plastic, however, should not be put in the bins. The local authority said there was not yet a "ready market" for that type of plastic.
The bins are already used for recycling paper, cardboard and plastic bottles.
