Groove Loch Ness, a one-day dance music festival, was held on Saturday.

The event drew festival-goers from all over the Highlands and the rest of Scotland.

About 4,500 people were thought to have turned out for the 5,000-ticket event.

The festival was held at Dores on the shores of Loch Ness near Inverness.

The site was previously used by the RockNess music festival.

As well as the music, Groove featured a fun fair ride for the bravest festival-goers.

Groove's organisers described the event as a nightclub under the stars.

The headline acts included Hari & Domenic, Radio 1 DJ B Traits, Tensnake and 2 Many DJs.

Groove Armada closed the festival. Earlier in the day the act took a boat trip on Loch Ness. They later tweeted that they had been unsuccessful in spotting Nessie.
