Student records found outside former Inverness College
- Published
A filing cabinet containing students' records has been found by a member of the public outside Inverness College UHI's former building.
It was understood that the files include National Insurance numbers.
College bosses have started an investigation into why the cabinet was left at the site in Longman Road.
Staff and students no longer use the building after moving to a new one at the Inverness Campus at Beechwood.

Highland councillor Richard Laird said it was unacceptable that students' personal details were "lying around in filing cabinets".
He added: "I think the college has got some real questions to answer about how this was allowed to happen."
