Metal cladding proposed for Inverness Museum and Art Gallery

The colour has been described as sandstone
A proposed new look has been unveiled for Inverness Museum and Art Gallery.
Highland Council and the site's operator High Life Highland want to clad the front and side of the building in aluminium.
The light sandstone-coloured anodised, perforated aluminium would feature a map of the city.
Highland Council said the light-reflective quality of the metal would mean the appearance of the cladding would change in the day and night-time.
A planning application has been submitted for the project. If approved, work on the cladding could start next year.
The museum is in the city centre next to the historic Inverness Town House and Inverness Castle.
