Car sharing club suggested for Inverness
- Published
A car club could be set up in Inverness which would allow people to share vehicles and in turn help reduce congestion and pollution.
A study commissioned by shared transport organisation Carplus and Highland Council recommends a small club initially.
It could involve about 15 cars and be targeted at people living and working in the city centre.
Later, the scheme could be expanded to the Culloden and Smithton areas.
Electric cars would be a feature of the club, if it was set up.
The study will be considered at a meeting of Highland Council's Inverness area committee next month.
