Night light: Muirburn on Isle of Skye

A muirburn lit up the night in a part of the Isle of Skye on Monday.
Musician and songwriter Roger Kinder photographed the flames from Uig on the island.
In Scotland, muirburns are permitted between October to about the middle of April.
The fires are set to burn down heather and other vegetation to clear the way for new growth.
